Learning Resources

As a fully online course, Grade 1 Language does not rely on a traditional textbook. Instead, students use a combination of digital tools and hands on materials to support active learning.

Recommended resources include:

  • A device capable of capturing written work
  • Audio recording tools
  • Access to a printer
  • A binder, folder, or notebook for offline activities
  • Household materials that support creative projects
  • Learning tools such as letter tiles, building blocks, dictionaries, highlighters, additional reading materials, and headphones

These resources help create a dynamic environment where students actively engage with language.

Teaching and Learning Approach

Our approach combines structured instruction with opportunities for exploration so that students can develop understanding in ways that are both engaging and meaningful.

Key features of the learning experience include:

  • A balance of direct teaching and inquiry based activities
  • Integration of technology with offline learning
  • Interactive stories, visual media, and guided discussions
  • Opportunities to practice communication in authentic contexts
  • Consistent teacher support to guide progress and encourage confidence

Teachers play an essential role in facilitating discussions, supporting skill development, and creating a positive environment where students feel motivated to learn.
