Grade 5

Strengthening Voice – Preparing for Leadership

Grade 5 at Trinity Ontario Elementary School represents a defining year in a student’s elementary journey. As learners approach the transition to middle school, they deepen their academic independence while developing stronger analytical thinking, communication skills, and social responsibility.

As part of Trinity Ontario Global Academy, the program reflects Ontario educational standards while encouraging students to engage thoughtfully with complex ideas, diverse perspectives, and real world challenges.

Throughout the year, students refine literacy and numeracy skills, strengthen scientific reasoning, and expand their understanding of governance and citizenship. Learning experiences are designed to promote initiative, critical inquiry, and purposeful communication while maintaining a supportive environment that fosters confidence and resilience.

By the end of Grade 5, students demonstrate greater ownership of their learning and readiness for the academic expectations of the junior and intermediate years.
